Patrick Hughes is a managing partner at DBL Law’s Covington office, specializing in Banking & Commercial Law, Business & Transactional Law, Government Advocacy, and Real Estate. Licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio, he has held key legal roles, including serving as legal counsel to the Kentucky Finance Cabinet and Chief Deputy Attorney General. He also manages Excel Title Services, LLC and serves on several boards, including the Life Learning Center and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout his career, Patrick has represented clients in complex projects involving financing, public-private partnerships, and economic development incentives. His recent work includes advising on major regional initiatives such as KentuckyWired, a 3,300-mile high-speed fiber optic network expansion across the state, the OneNKY Center, which brings together Northern Kentucky’s growth organizations and serves as the home of LifeSciKY’s lab, and the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor, a $1.6 billion infrastructure project that will expand and retrofit one of the nation’s key transportation arteries. In addition, he has played a critical role in driving a variety of economic development projects that fuel investment and job creation in the region.
Patrick lives in Covington, KY, with his wife, Michelle, and their children.
