Tim Schroeder, CTI’s Chairman, CEO, and Founder, has more than 35 years of expertise spanning clinical, academic, and industry research, with a focus on global drug and device development. Since founding CTI in 1999, he has led the company’s expansion into one of the top 20 largest contract research organizations worldwide, supporting over 200 drug and device approvals for more than 250 global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. CTI specializes in rare diseases, cell therapy, and critical care populations, including over 40 critical COVID-19 projects.
Before establishing CTI, Tim served as a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and as the founding Executive Vice President of Clinical Development at SangStat Medical Corporation, where he helped take the company public and led the development of Thymoglobulin, a market-leading transplant therapy. A recognized leader in the clinical industry, he has authored or co-authored over 200 book chapters and peer-reviewed articles, presented at more than 300 national and international conferences, and served as a visiting faculty lecturer on nearly 175 occasions.
Tim is deeply engaged in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region, serving on more than a dozen corporate and nonprofit boards, including Xavier University, his alma mater. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for more than 35 years and have five children and four grandchildren.
