LifeSciKY Testifies Before State Health Committee

Invited by Chairwoman Rep. Kimberly Poore Moser, Dr. Godale highlighted LifeSciKY’s work to support biotech startups through infrastructure, mentorship, and programming—along with investments in student fellowships and career exposure. The testimony underscored LifeSciKY’s role in positioning Kentucky as a national leader in life sciences innovation.

LifeSciKY names Amelia Wares Executive Operations Fellow

LifeSciKY has appointed Amelia Wares as its Executive Operations Fellow, a role designed to support high-level strategy, community engagement, and entrepreneurial initiatives while assisting Executive Director Dr. Christin Godale with everyday operations as the organization prepares to launch its Covington lab later this year. Wares brings a strong background as a biomedical engineering student at the University of Cincinnati, founder of the digital health startup TissuTrak, and former student representative at UC’s Center for Entrepreneurship.
